Lunch-date with Mushroom Soup

Assalamualaikum, hi we meet again. After sometimes, I remember that I do have a blog that I’m committed to and had the responsibility to update. And yes, sorry blog, I had overlook this matter.

I went to Mines shopping complex recently for a lunch-date with my good friends. We decided to eat at this café called Sweet Chat Cafe.
Sweet Chat Cafe, Mines Shopping Complex

It’s a nice little cosy café facing the lake side cruise. This is my third time coming here. This eating-nook was introduced to me by a good friend early this year. And it does capture my taste-bud the first time, it was like love for the first time. I thought that this nice little café is just like the rest simple food, expensive price but I was wrong.

I ordered this mushroom soup (RM 7.90). The most simple and light dish, so if I ever thought the food was bad, I won’t be that disappointed, plus, cream of mushroom is the best key indicator whether a chef or that café can cater to my fancy taste-bud. It’s not hard to make a mushroom soup yet it’s a very delicate and intricate concoction of mushroom that is critical to deliver the right taste. The moment I sip onto a spoonful of the mushroom soup, a tingling sensation dancing on my taste-bud. It was a very nice mushroom soup; light ad heavily creamed at the same time. I’m not sure whether this outlet do their own mushroom soup or they just ‘sub’ on any other brand like Knorr or  Campbell or Vono but it certainly not taste like those. Even if they did, Sweet Chat did a good job by modifying the recipe. You can taste each type of mushroom inside the soup and the garlic bread complimenting the soup was nicely said and done too. Unfortunately, I didn’t take any picture of it at that time so what I uploaded here is taken from liyenz.wordpress.com. She have a blog written about food and restaurants, a nice blog. Thank you liyenz!

tea-time set promotion @ RM9.90 (before tax)

This visit, I my friend ordered tea-time set which arrived at RM 9.90/set. Consist of a scone (with cream and strawberry marmalade), tuna and chicken cheese toast. It was a very small portion size of a one pax. Comes with a hot chocolate drink and my friend enjoyed it.

There are many other good food there, one which I like is the Curry Noodle. Their desserts were tantalizing too. One in particular is Bubur Cha Cha. It's very intoxicating. They brew this dessert with lots of yam chunks, sago, pumpkin, sweet potato in coconut milk. The coconut milk was not that milky, in fact it taste like a mixture of coconut milk and full cream milk.

Black Rice

Durian wrap

Mango pudding

Drinks prices ranges from RM 5.90 to RM 12.90 for an espresso and I personally considered the prices were expensive. But the food were awesome for most of it and you can opt for the set to justify the drink price. All set comes with drink ; ice lemon-tea, that is. Or it’s worth to order their cappuccino or their classic white coffee.
