Refuting my "Null Hypothesis"....

...It's been hours dwelling on my scientific data that are not that scientific either. It's quite hard when you're working with fundamental science than the applied ones. To nullify something that cannot be seen with naked eyes such as the ability of some bacteria to exerts 'miracle potion' that enable them to be superior that the host they infected is not something enjoyable for some people but it is to me..

I've been prying on my data since last night, and suddenly my thought dazed to my visit to Nasi Ambeng stall last week in Tg.Karang. It's noon anyway. A normal fat person like me will undoubteddly smelling rice and loads of beuatiful dishes on the lunch table..I went downstairs, I made a pot of chicken tomyam which smells really nice (oo yeah oo yeah...). Then I get back to this lappie of  mine and decided to write on Nasi Ambeng instead of my going through a headache analysing my research data.

Entering the front yard of the owner's house which is also the compound of the restaurant

Have you heard of 'Nasi Ambeng Ibu' in Tg.Karang? I'm not an avid fan of nasi ambeng but I enjoy eating it whenever it's around me (muahaha). My parent is a regular to this Nasi Ambeng Ibu. They know the owner personally. So everytime they went back to their hometown, they will definitely pay a visit to this stall and bought for about 5-6 packets of Nasi Ambeng Ibu for home. We, the chidren were very grateful for such a wonderful parent that never forgets their children loves nasi ambeng....(??????...

Anyway, Nasi Ambeng Ibu has quite a good reputation among locals. It's a hotspot during weekends and will usually finish before 2pm although they open until late evening.

Tucked nicely in front of the owner's house, this restaurant is just a small hut. The roof was made of daun nipah with added zink at the back of the newly renovated part of the stall. Environment is airy enough because they don't construct any walls to block the dining area from outside view. Basically yes, for those concern for dust and all, it's an open environment restaurant. You can feel the heat when it's summer and you can see the snow falling down from sky when it's winter..( :D)..

Drink preparation area - Opah Kampung Style...
Small gazebos were built for customer who wants to enjoy a private moment with family members
Warung Ibu contact number

It was a quiet weekday when I reached there and there was a few people having lunch. Two families just arrived at the same time and they flocked to the small gazebo and prepared for their lunch while a few of the family members went to choose the lauk and nasi ambang. You can choose to sit inside the restaurant or enjoy your nasi ambang outside on the gazebo.

Swing available just front of the restaurant for children and even adults to enjoy

Food list goes on from the normal dish for Nasi Ambeng which is ..
Sambal tempe goreng with tofu and soohoon
Serunding kelapa, udang kering and groundnuts

the delicious Mee goreng (fried yellow noodle)

and of course, the mastermind of Nasi Ambang, jeng jeng jeng jeng.our most important lauk which is,

AYAM MASAK KICAP

Makcik ni punya ayam masak kicap sedap...But no worried to those who doesn't fancy Nasi Ambang. This restaurant also serves plain rice with other local dishes such as Asam Tumis Ikan Pari, Kailan Tumis, Kangkung Goreng, Pecal (the jawa traditional dish which consist of sengkuang, blanched vegetables which is kangkung, ladyfinger, kacang botol, beansprout, long beans eaten with peanut sauce), kerabu ulam raja and many others. For Nasi Ambang, you can opt for fried chicken if you don't prefer the soy sauce chicken style. Price were affordable and worth to go for. Nasi Ambeng cost you RM 7.00 per packet which you get a piece of chicken, 2 scoops of rice, generous amount of sambal tempe, serunding kelapa and mee goreng (fried noodle).

They provide clean washroom and surau for restaurant's patrons
The owner, which is known as "Kak Senah" by my mother, or is it "Kak Minah", i forgot..ooppsss, but it's definitely ikan puyu (Climbing Perch) there I can't be mistaken ..

So, if you happen to be nearby, or just passing through the road, alert for a big white banner 'NASI AMBENG IBU'..drop by and give them a try. It's worth every penny!
